Best 'Burger" in Miami

I have to admit, that I'm not much of a cook. Therefore, if hunger strikes, I go and look for a nice restaurant. 'Nice' in my book means: affordable and in an interesting setting. TOABCCO ROAD in downtown Miami definitely fits the bill.

It is Miami's oldest restaurants and proudly exhibits the longest running liquor licence in Dade County. Try the Mega Mega Burger for $7.50 and you won't have to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Minced sirloin, all the trimmings and a fried egg on top. The thing overlaps the plate, is absolutely freshy prepared and tasty. But that's not all. Tobacco Road breathes history. It's situated on the Miami River and in the olden days, tobacco boats from Cuba used to dock here. Of course, the hungry sailors and stevedores needed to be fed and that tradition lives on to this day, although the stevedores have been replaced by many a money man (and woman) from the nearby financial district.

Look at the pictures and they will tell more than words about atmosphere. Every night there's life music and  valet parking is available. The address is: 626 South Miami Avenue / SW7th Street.

For more information, menues and the music schedules go to: www.tobacco-road.com.
