Anticipating my Summer in Toulouse
|
So, I just got a job as an au pair for a family (american father, german mother, & trilingual 4 year old)in Toulouse, France for my entire summer. I get room and board (at their house), and 435$ a month spending. They also payed for the flights! I get weekends off as well as nights, and the city is only 15 min away (I will have a car!!). Toulouse has the second largest population of students (second to Paris), so there will be plenty of cafes, nightclubs, and activities, although I am not aware of them yet. So.. if anyone has been there let me know what to see/do! I also plan on taking weekend trips to Bordeaux (for photography), Barcelona (for sun/water), the Pyrenees (for hiking/backpacking), and any other places I discover. Im so exicted and would love any help with planning my adventures before I go. |

Watch out for the smell of the Algerians in train stations; while like rotting meat. Lyon is another nice city to see--St. Etienne is apparently beautiful, but I didn't get the chance.
Have fun. A friend of my spent over two years in Germany as an Au Pair.
