Jobless and Loving It

After we spent two years bumming around the world, our friends understand that it might take us a while to adjust.  They see us sitting on our butts all day, playing music, writing stories, watching TV and editing our travel movie while they slave away in cubicles across the Bay Area.  Take your time, they say.  No rush to enter the rat race.

But in the next breath they all want to know: What are we going to do next?  You know, once we settle in and reflect on our trip, come to whatever illuminating conclusions about travel and how it has changed us and the  general state of the world. After that--what are we gonna do?

Answer: we're doing it.

That's right.  We are jobless and just fine with that.  Staying with mom and dad (specifically, Randy's mom for a while and then 'rent-jumping to Colorado to chill with my folks) means that all we really pay for is food and the occasional drink with friends.  We have all the entertainment we need, with our computers, my guitar, and Randy's mom's Netflix account.  Sure, at some point we'll have to think about income, but why worry now?  These things always work themselves out in the end.  And if not, there's always teaching jobs in Korea to get us on our feet again...
