Itching to Travel, but Can't?
|
What to do on your down time? Currently, this is my position - I'm not traveling and need to focus on the business end of my career. Yes, I'm the kind of person that likes adventure and excitement, but now must retire to certain mundane (wordly!) aspects of my business. So what do you do on your "down" time? Do you relish this time? Or do you itch? What I'm doing currently: Coming up with good article ideas I can pitch to editors Scanning loads of slides to my Cano Scan Writing my blog Thinking Working on my novel Future Projects: Can't wait to get my digital camera! So, what do you do? Sleeping is always good, yes. And eating. |

Ah! the elusive downtime. Filled with planning the next trip or working on a myriad of projects only I am passionate about :)
I don't think I ever really have down time, but wherever I am and whatever I'm doing, I itch and I relish.
Is that normal? :0
This post was pretty timely for me. I haven't been on a plane for a month and a half (a record for me) and with all the news coming out of Cuba, I'm itching to be on the ground there, gathering stories. At the same time, though, I'm relishing the joy of just being in one single place for more than a few days or weeks.
And eating is definitely good. In fact, I think I'll go cook some dinner!
