2008 Total Vertical Feet Competition

By David Miller  |  Location: United States  |  03/02/08

My good friend Alex Harvey and his crew from Athens, Georgia are participating again this year in the 2008 Total Vertical Feet Competition. TVF is a whitewater competition; the goal is to descend as many vertical feet as possible on whitewater rapids on 8 days during February to April.

In conjunction with the TVF, Alex's team "Dude, I'm down for whatever" will be raising money for  First Descents and March of Dimes. First Descents' mission is to utilize whitewater kayaking and other outdoor adventure sports to promote emotional, psychological and physical healing for young adults with cancer. To find out more about First Descents visit www.firstdescents.org.

March of Dimes is dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Please support these guys if you can--let's see what the Matador Community can do! For more info, check Alex's page here.
