I'm looking to travel on my own in Jan/Feb of 2008. I'll just be graduating, and won't have a lot of money before I start a full time job. Does anyone have any suggestions of great places to go, or travel references for great deals? |

Even cheaper, less wine, but plenty of fun is Colombia. In fact just about anywhere in South America!

How easy is it to get around if you don't know much of anything, other than the English language?
Short on dough and looking for an amazing time, I'd have to go with Argentina. I went down there to climb mountains for 4 months and I ended up staying for 14 months. I was living with two french girls and two of my fest friends in Buenos Aires, living in an amazing apartment with a roof deck, hard wood floors, 15 ft cielings, a fat kitchen and we were each paying 45 USD/month in rent. Food, wine, cocktails and cabs were even cheaper. It was one of the best years of my life. The exchange rate is still 3:1, so it's still a great time to go...
