Prices vary depending on the place, the amount and on you. You have the money so you have the final word. 10,000Rp=$1(US). Ask how much things are first is a good rule and you can ask if they bargain. Some clothing stores (the ones with real stuff), food stores (ex. Circle K) and bars/resturants all have set prices. Price of surf wax is also non-negotiable. Other that, most everything is negotiable. Transport, small shops and sometimes even hotels. In street side shops pay 30,000-45,000 for swim trunks, 30,000 for t-shirts, 50,000-60,000 for walk shorts, 20,000 for sarongs, and 15,000 for sunglasses(don't count on UV protection). Big paintings are 450,000, short long ones for 250,000, smaller ones for 150,000 and small ones for 75,000. 170 DVDs are $100, or 1,000,000Rp. Custom mens suits are 350,000. For transport use a blue taxi and tell the driver to turn the meter on, it is usually cheaper. Motorbikes are 50,000 per day or 20,000 per day if you get them for a week or two. Get massages in real spas for 85,000 and hour. Remember you usually get what you pay for so always check the quality.
