By Anna Brones  |  Location: United States  |  10/06/08

Wend Magazine is about to launch a new online section called iWend. iWend is the place to get inspired to pursue your next adventure. From feature pieces on people out voyaging around the world to reader submitted travel narratives, iWend is the place to share, learn and get stoked on global journeys. The section will feature the Postcard series... read below to see how you can take part.

Postcard

We want you the reader to be a part of our ever-growing online content. For Postcard we are looking for a sweet photo from your own travels along with an accompanying narrative focusing on a unique aspect of the place. As always, Wend is focused on human and earth powered adventure, so we're particularly looking for dispatches that highlight sustainability, low impact travel and respect for local cultures.

Guidelines for submissions

All submissions should include both a photo and a narrative; we want a picture that tells just as much of a story as your writing.

Narratives should be no longer than 600 words. Please make sure you have read through your narrative for spelling and grammar errors; pieces that have clearly not been edited will not be considered. By submitting your piece to Wend you are giving our editorial staff the right to do some minor editing and changes if need be. Photos should be high resolution.

Include a short bio and a link to your personal website (if applicable) so we can give you some exposure.

Send all submissions to anna[at]wendmag[dot]com

What do I get out of it?

Unfortunately we can't offer any payment if we publish your work. But we can promise good exposure and the chance to share your work with the adventurous community of Wenders. Plus if you're ever in town, we might even go grab a beer with you.
