You tend not to notice when something is missing for a while. Third day in London and for better, or for worse, I have noticed there are little or no: free wi-fi signals (for Starbucks here you must subscribe to t-mobile- there went $5.50 on a frappaccino-the smallest size!); car alarms; Latinos (2); SUVs, children and dogs (progeny and pets are not anywhere near as prolific as in NYC); gyms (3); skateboarders or rollerbladers (1each); honking horns; places that won't let you use the loo; people who know where anything is (I actually gave another tourist directions today! My first day I asked three people, who live here, where Lennard Street was. Answers were all 'gee, I don't know, but I know it's around 'ere somewhere.' It was one street over.) hmmm London is Lovely and the weather has been superb! TTFN I have to go have tea. |
