Sevilla

Once again this one is late but I just can't seem to keep up.  Sevilla was great.  Beautiful city, great arcitecture, nice people.   I do have one rant though.  I use the Lonely Planet guidebooks, and usually they're quite good.  I find they give a nice intro to each country and city that you're traveling to and a good indication of where to stay when you get there.  Their restaurant sections, however, leave quite a bit to be desired.  We went to "Horno de...something", which was recommended by the book.  It was recommended by the book as a great place to go and have coffee and good view for a reasonable price, or so it implied.  It was a great place, if you like paying too much for average food, so consider yourself warned.

As I said though, other than that it's been a great and faithful travel companion througout my travels.  In Seville it recommended to stay in the Barrio de Santa Cruz area, which was a fun place to wander around with tonnes of little winding alleys filled with shops and cafes which are very friendly and more than happy to relieve you of some of your tourist dollars.  It was just far enough off the main tourist strip though that it remained reasonably priced.  We also stayed at a place it recommended, the Pension Vergera, which I can confirm has great staff and a laid back atmosphere for anyone who may be planning a trip to Seville.

Although the Cathedral and Santa Cruz were amazing, top prize has to go to the Flamenco show at Casa de la Memorias cultural center.  The dancing was amazing and the music was intense.

OK, so it's more of a review than an actual travel blog but I'm writing this from Morocco so rest assured there are some really good stories to come.  (Just wait 'til you hear about the border crossing from Ceuta into Morocco.)

PS - Sorry, no photos this time, the Moroccan computer doesn't want to accept my camera.
