If you're in Madrid long enough there will come a time when you crave something other than the traditional Spanish food. When that time comes you should head straight to Don Oso's burger joint in Moncloa. They've got incredible burgers which you can get with cheese, bacon and mushrooms with a side fries. But the food is actually eclipsed by the characters that work there and the experience of ordering your food. Come with a sense of humor and courage to jump in. The owner is the soup nazi of Madrid and if you don't come correct with exactly what you want, how you want it and are ready to say it when he glances you're way than you're not going to eat. It's a hilarious experience, and the reward for your determination is a juicy cheeseburger and some good conversation with the local college kids that hang there. If you're able to get a burger, I guarantee you'll be addicted.

Don Oso is located in Moncloa off of Calle de Hilarion Eslava. Take the 3 line to Moncloa and walk two blocks up past McDonalds and take a left on Hilarion Eslava.
