My Nicaraguan Vocabulary

We all love to immerse ourselves in local culture, food, garb, and the likes, but once in awhile, you're pushed to a place of hysteria to cope with your surroundings.

So on a recent trip to Nicaragua, we coined the following terms:

Sniff N' Sip - The act of subconsciously sniffing before sipping the contents of any mysterious looking juice handed to you.

Bugitas - Made-up spanglish that refers to a random collection of bugs or insects.

Hyena Dog - The nondescript looking mutts that roam around the streets, clearly with no owner.

Swat N' Fan - A subconscious skill that is acquired after swatting and fanning flies away from your meals.

Mansquito - You guessed it! Mosquitoes that actually talk back to you!
