So I just return from a three week job in Cancun, Mexico where I was paid to blog the Spring Break experience (in a PG-13 way) for a major American clothing company. Has anyone else out there ever been paid to blog? Or am the first in this new form of advertising by making readers feel like they are there?

Just wondering...

On another note, Cancun is a hellhole. Everything I hate about travel dumped into 12 miles of Mexican beach. I still wonder though, is it better for this Hooters/Fridays/Chili's infested place to exist so that the millions of visitors who visit there will stay only in places like this. All-inclusive, no trouble, no worries (yeah right... and $40 taxi rides for six miles from the airport to your hotel).

It may leave the Patagonia's and Outback's of the world to us, with the small sacrafice of 12 miles of above average beach. I'll Trade.
