Sleepless in Helsinki

After a 17-hour or so ordeal of flying and waiting in airports, I finally arrived in Helsinki yesterday evening. I actually got a Danish stamp in my passport rather than a Finnish one because that was my layover on the way here, after the one in Chicago O'Hare (a huge and confusing airport). I didn't get much sleep on the plane but now i'm awake at 3:30 in the morning writing this blog. I'd totally upload some pics for you all but I couldn't get the wireless network to work on my mini-pc, so those will have to wait.

Btw Eva, I had a delicious burrito at the airport right before I took off at SFO. With a pineapple agua fresca, it cost me about $13 total but it was totally worth it.

Observations so far:

The arrivals area at the Copenhagen airport seems very Ikea-esque. But the rest of it looks like a fancy shopping mall, like the one at SFO
The weather yesterday here in Helsinki was a bit brisk yet pleasant. I was concerned about my feet feeling cold so I brought my Uggs but now I feel like I could have done just as well without them. I'll see.

More later...
