The photo says a lot about who we are and how we experience the world. It was taken in the Clayoquot Wilderness in NW British Columbia on a trip that combined world-class cuisine, with rustic wildnerness experiences, followed by indulgent spa treatments. We've camped our way across Hawaii, shopped in the hill towns in Provence, and jammed with street musicians in New Orleans. Ellen's journalistic style and instinct for capturing these experiences has resulted in a collection of images, while Dan's journals and unassuming sketches provide an additional viewpoint.

Over time, we have developed our own method for recording our experiences. From scrapbooks combining photoprints, memorabilia, journal entries and sketches to current articles and photos being considered for publication, we are seeking to share our words and pictures with others in our community and around the world who might enjoy them. We seek out eco-travel, out-of-the-way romantic places and local music scenes.

Back to the photo: Suspended over a rushing gorge, this suspension bridge took Ellen and Dan to a spectacular spot atop a boulder surrounded by swiftly-moving rapids, with a gourmet picnic, before resuming a trail ride back to the resort.
