Going to Ushuaia from within Argentina - Bus it or fly it???
|
So your in Buenos Aires and your thinking… how the hell do I get to the southern most city in the world??? Well there are only two realistic choices, bus it or fly it. From Buenos Aires to Ushuaia the bus takes 50 hours and cost approximately 475 pesos (oh yeah, you can only go with semi cama as well). Flying takes roughly 4 hours but can be much more expensive. However, there is a national airline company, LADE which offers very reasonable flights to southern Argentina. They fly to Ushuaia Monday and Friday (during the winter season) and more during the summer. It costs 370 pesos with taxes and is a far superior option to busing. They also have flights to Bariloche, El Calefate, and a few other southern destinations. In summation, don’t rule out a flight on your way to the southern most city in the world. Anthony Lewis |

I shudder to think of busing to Tierra del Fuego. If I never see the Rio Gallegos bus terminal again that's just fine.
