As our world gets increasingly complex and things as we see them are driven more and more everyday by technological advancement, we might have a lot to learn from people who live off the land and progress through generations without much changing with regard to their way of life.

This is just as much of a research piece as it is a cultural writing and observations assignment.

We are looking for the world's most isolated, independent, resilient and wild people. Like many Matador pieces, this one will be in list format. It's not a countdown to the wildest people on Earth; it doesn't have to be "10", but we'd like an intro, a list (each with some interesting and educational details about the people and their way of life), and a very short conclusion.

This article should be in between 450 and 800 words in length, (aim for 500). Photos are a plus, but not a deal-breaker if you don't have any.
