UNITY CHARITABLE TRUST, striving hard for the upliftment of the deserted and depressed women and children invites volunteers to put their services in the DAY CARE CENTRE FOR THE OLD AGED in Virudhunagar, Tamilnadu, India. This centre has been started to cater to atleast one time meal for the inmates, who are very poor and old aged having no sources of income to meet their basic needs of three times meals. Atleast, we can provide lunch to them and in the centre they are doing their easy works of match box pasting, they are familiar with this work and other works suchas baskets made out of plastic wires. Medical care is given to the elders weekly once by the visiting doctors.

Volunteers both male and female from abroad are invited for CULTURAL TOUR AND VOLUNTEERING programme of our organization. Groups can also apply for this volunteering. The purpose of this programme is to get our foreign guests experience first hand practical knowledge of the south Indian culture and customs and to enjoy the tourist locations.

Volunteering, one of the pillars of philanthrophy is a powerful factor in social service. We invite volunteers from abroad for teaching ENGLISH, DANCE, MUSIC and other extra curriclum in our Nursery and primary school in our Home town VIRUDHUNAGAR. The purpose of this position is to improve the English skills and other extra curriculum like dance, music of the kids in our school.

To empower women folks of this area, we are forming poor women's self help groups and at present, we are having 550 members under our organization. Micro credit programs are also going on. The volunteers can visit the members' houses, participate in the meetings for the SHGs conducted by us and by this, the volunteers can get first hand practical knowledge of the status of the poor women folks of this area who are upgraded by us through our micro credit programs. The criteria for this volunteering is that the volunteers should TEACH ENGLISH in our Nursery and Primary school in addition to the SHG volunteering.
