Our Mission: MISSION
Our mission is to establish an intergrated forest management strategy and enhance the livelihoods of the most disadvantaged forest-dependent communities in Africa. This will be achieved through the following project components:
1] Developing a multi-stakeholder forest sector policy and strategy for the communities
2] Strengthening government and non-governmental institutions to enable people to provide intergrated livelihood support mechanism
3] Developing a cost effective model for empowering and supporting the most disadvantaged forest-dependent women and men to strengthen their own livelihoods
4] Encourage communities to practise good agro-ecological practises which prevents environmental degradation
5] Dissemination of project experience and lessons through reports, process documentation, workshops and networks
What We Do: WHO WE ARE
We are a non-governmental, not-for profit environmental organisation.
Our aim is to campaign against environmental degradation in Zimbabwe and across Africa.
Our programs and projects will include:
campaigning against deforestation
urging reforestation through planting of multi-purpose trees
educating people about sustainable forest management practises and good agro-ecological practises for sustainable land use
