Our Mission: The Peaceful World Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect travelers, social entrepreneurs and positive change organizations. It's international headquarters are at the Red Victorian Peace Center in the historic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. The Peace Center is a mecca for innovative ideas, intercultural dialogue and global friendship and understanding.
What We Do: Our three main programs are:
1) The World Conversations Program, connecting travelers staying with us at the Red Victorian Bed & Breakfast and San Francisco locals over breakfast and issues of importance in the world.
2) We've partnered with Kiva.org to create a micro-lending program, where through friendship and small loans we are supporting emerging entrepreneurs in developing countries.
3) The Red Victorian Peace Center is an incredible space and we want to utilize it as much as possible! Meetings and events are held weekly for organizations and other non-profits working towards social change, peace and sustainability. Check out our calendar for exciting lectures, films and concerts.
