A glance of Chitral
Chitral is positioned in the North West of Pakistan with an approximate population of 347,000 and covers an area of around 14,850 square kilometers. Chitral stayed behind an independent state for many centuries until 1954 and after that it came under the control of the Government of Pakistan. In 1969, it became an administrative district of NWFP. It has been a very important route for many aggressors to South East Asia Counting Alexander the great, Mongol Changeez Khan and various others.
Chitral is a very beautiful place in the heart of the Hindukush range of Mountains and is famous for its hospitality, tradition and cultural values. The people of this area are friendly and peace loving that is why the foreigners of the world come here to spend their holidays. The job opportunities are very limited as there are no factories and mills due to that the young educated people migrate to cities. The main crops of Chitral are wheat and maize. Most of the people are farmer and the cultivating land is very small that could not meet the whole income of the year so they purchase wheat from Government grain store. The main hurdle in the development of Chitral is the Lowari Pass which remains close for four to five months every year in winter. Now the Government is working on Lowari Tunnel Project and is expected to open the tunnel in the near future. The opening of Lowari tunnel would be a great change and a milestone in the history of Chitral.The all weather road connection between Chitral and other parts of Pakistan would be easier and much secure for both the passengers and trade goods and it will also be less time consuming and comfortable.
The Context of NCCB Chitral
According to the saying of profound people that
One country ... one ideology, one system is not sufficient. It is helpful to have a variety of different approaches. We can then make a join effort to solve the problems of the whole of humankind
The Northern Citizen Community Board (NCCB) is totally community oriented organization (The name is derived as Chitral is located in the North West Province of Pakistan).This community board came into being at Headquarter Chitral in March 2006. After one year persistent work and conducting meetings, this year 7th day of September 2007, it was registered with District Government Chitral, with the Community Development Department NWFP, under Certificate of Registration No. DO (CDD) CTL. 556.
Our Mission Statement
we base our programs on the needs to assist the communities of Chitral on various prospective in achieving quality education and standard life style through the participation of local communities irrespective of caste and creed and keeping the culture and tradition of Chitral in a high esteemed. To oppose racism and make the society moderate and enlightened

The existence of this board is on commitment of mutual collaboration, deep coordination and participation and through thorough consensus of both the communities of Chitral irrespective of caste and creed. It has the support of all the intellectuals, educationists, politicians, NGOs, Government officials’ many other stakeholders.
Executive Summary of Information Technology
As information Technology is a fast growing sector and plays a very central and supportive role for the development of institutions and organizations. Today, the term information technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology, and the term is more recognizable than ever before. The information technology umbrella can be quite large and covering many fields. IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information. Computer Science is the hottest, most dynamic, and most exciting field. Computer Science is a broad discipline concerned with the science and technology of information processing.It includes Theory of Computation, Computing Systems, Applications such as Web technology, Artificial Intelligence, Databases, Computer Graphics and much much more…..
Today education without information technology and computer science is just like a tree without leaves.
Establishment of “IT Academy”
On tremendous and abrupt change in information technology in Pakistan, Chitral remained beyond boundary to meet the current IT challenges. It is very apologetic to say that over an estimated population of 347,000(three lac and forty seven thousand) there is no any formal IT and computer science institute that could fulfils the needs of our new generation as well as the adults of the day in Chitral.To meet this challenge of the twenty first century, the citizen community board members after a comprehensive research have reached to the conclusion and determined to launch an “IT Academy” as an umbrella institution. Under IT Academy students both boys and girls will attend online classes from this campus and receive certificates, diplomas, and bachelor and master degrees from different colleges and universities of the world regardless of geographic separation.
Anticipated Benefits
Northern Citizen Community Board has prepared and determined to launch much significant and unique program for Chitral as:
 To provide quality online education to both boys & girls at their door step.
 Certificate, diploma, bachelors and masters level of every subject degree is awarded to the student at Chitral campus.
 Online lecture schedule for students from our campus that is more convenient for our Chitrali students.

 At least one project of universities& colleges campus should commence in March 2008
 A spacious building is required to rent in January 2008.
 Human resources are available according to the need of the campus.
Endowment Fund
The amount contributed by the communities of Chitral in shape of cash Rs500000/-(half million) as an endowment fund and its interest would be used annually for the maintenance of IT Academy.
Our Previous Accomplishments
 After one year plan our communities have contributed Rs500000/-
(Five hundred thousand) that is the great sign of success of our community board.
 Every board member of our community is mentally prepared to contribute for the organization instead of limited resources.
 Volunteerism spirit has increased among the communities during of our one-year period.
 Brainstorming of the communities, finding solution to various problems is currently in progress.
 Every citizen whether professional, educationist, doctor, politician and lay person rush to NCCB meeting with full activity and sentiment which is the success of our board.
Administrator/leadership Characteristics
The person leading the program will be known as the administrator. He will be defined as the term of personality, intelligence, forward thinking and creativity.
He has some more qualities as:

 The NCCB has Rs500000/- (endowment fund)
 We have human resources to start up our project.

 We need only one time investment to start-up our project from donors’ side.
Profit Generating Unit
 As NCCB is a profit generating unit.
 We will try to stand IT Academy on its own feet after one year.
