Our Mission: MRDO runs community based projects throughout Kenya and as the vision stands out, we support and aid in changing the lives of children and families living in abject poverty through improved health, education and other integrated rural development programmes. We do this with the continual help of volunteers, both local and international, playing a major role in assisting us in implementation.
What We Do: Volunteering in as much is also a great way to contribute to the global community and gain experience, foster personal growth, learn new cultures and traditions on grassroots level and become a part of a team that is working towards helping and aiding the less fortunate.
Therefore we welcome all volunteers whether on a short volunteer vacation or a prolonged gap year, MRDO has challenging, affordable programs currently running that need as much assistance as possible in a number of activities that include:
• Teaching conversational English to primary school children.
• Income generating projects in the rural communities of Kisii.
• HIV and AIDS awareness programs.
• Medical assistance to the poor communities
• Poverty eradication projects.
• Conservation programs.
• Couselling and guidance services for the local youth
