Our Mission:
In keeping with IA&A's mission to enable cross-cultural exchange, IA&A created a unique, internationally-focused training program called USArts. A U.S. State Department designated program, USArts provides foreign nationals and American citizens with opportunities to participate in exchange programs in arts and cultural organizations in the United States. As an Exchange Visitor Program sponsor, USArts screens and selects applicants and provides them with training placements for up to 18 months.
As part of USArts International Training Program, International Arts and Artists is a designated J1 Trainee visa sponsor and issues the form DS2019 necessary to apply for the J1 Trainee visa. USArts provides valuable support throughout the J1 visa application process, helping candidates to understand and complete the application procedures once the training placement has been arranged.
Our aim is to offer an accessible platform for foreign nationals to gain invaluable experience in the arts and culture field in America.

What We Do:
As part of USArts International Training Program, International Arts and Artists is a designated J1 Trainee visa sponsor and issues the form DS2019 necessary to apply for the J1 Trainee visa. USArts provides valuable support throughout the J1 visa application process, helping candidates to understand and complete the application procedures once the training placement has been arranged.

We accept applications for placements in visual and performing arts, arts management, industrial design and interior design, graphic design, communications, marketing, finance and business in the arts and culture, crafts and design, and performing arts management.

We have sponsored trainees from Nepal, Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark. Great Britain, Singapore, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela...

USArts acts as the liaison for both the exchange visitor and the host organization during the entire length of training. USArts provides exchange visitors with pre-arrival information, an optional semi-annual orientation session in Washington, DC , and mentoring and monitoring throughout trainees’ stay in the United States on the J1 Trainee visa.
