Family Around Europe is a personal project of Rufus and Elena Duffin who lost their little boy, Logan, in May 2008.

As foreigners in the Czech Republic, we were lucky enough to receive the incredibly generous, warm and highly skilled help of the Klíček Foundation who values must surely humble even the most empathic of people.

Through their kindness, understanding and unwavering strength, we were able to say farewell to our little man in exactly the way that we needed to. It's hard to guess before hand exactly how you will react to the death of your child, no matter how well you feel you know yourself. Our personal beliefs are not the important thing here, indeed, it wouldn't have mattered where we placed our faith. The support given to us by the Klíček Foundation following our son's death was, in our humble opinion, more than even the closest family could have offered us. We owe them so much though they expect nothing in return. This trip, we hope, will at least go some way to showing how much their help meant to us.
