Our Mission:

EdUKaid is a UK based charity that aims to enable the children of the developing world to gain dignity and future prosperity for themselves and
their communities by providing education.

What We Do:

Education is critical for development. Every economic, social and health issue can be improved by the provision of education which is why we are so devoted to this cause. EdUKaid is addressing many different areas of education in the Mtwara region of southern Tanzania, one of the poorest regions of one of the poorest countries in the world. Needless to say the problems facing us are huge.

We can only operate due to the continued and generous support of many individuals and organisations who share our vision that - to learn is to live.

Our work involves sending english language, science and mathematics teachers to work in the existing schools. We are also increasing the quantity of teaching resources, textbooks and desks in the classrooms, as well as improving the fabric of the schools. We are implementing a full teachers' training scheme and a sexual health education programme.

They are the most visible expression of our commitment to support education in the area and their diligence and care is an example to all who we work with. Volunteering teaching in Tanzania, Africa

Location: Tanzania | 09/17/07

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals to work as volunteer teachers in the Mtwara region of southern Tanzania. We are recruiting English language teachers (TEFL/TESL certificate required before placement begins) to teach at primary and secondary level, as well as Maths and Science teachers to teach at secondary level. Placements are for six months with the option to extend.
