Our Mission:
Making a difference in the lives of fellow human beings especially children by campaigning to raise awareness about the plight of children and provide support to them.

To fight poverty and exclusion; strengthen the capacity of disadvantaged communities; support initiatives for peace, human rights and equity; mobilize resources and promote the exchange of know-how.

To sensitize the Ghanaian people, especially those in the rural areas of Ghana, to the threat of the HIV/AIDS virus and to make them critically but positively aware of the apocalyptic potential it presents in the immediate future.

To promote computer literacy through education, and provision of Information and Communication Technology facility in rural communities.

What We Do:
Establishing and supporting orphanages and Children homes. We donate clothings, food, shoes, play games, educational materials and teaching basic english, maths and science to the homes and also needy children on the streets.DAVS is currently supporting four children homes in the Volta Region.

Spend time working to bring hope to the hopelessness. The children come from a variety of situations including loss of one or both parents, physical and sexual abuse, extreme poverty, and more suffering than many of us can imagine. Many of these children have been denied the chance at an education as well as the basics for survival-food and shelter. By volunteering at an orphanage, you will have the chance to offer them support, affection, and the benefits of a basic education.Volunteers at this placement lead activities with the children including games, informal education, arts and crafts, reading activities, music and more.

The program is meant to make a difference in women to be independent. We realized that the poverty level in Ghana is very high especially with the women in poor communities. This is because of the high drop out rate from school teenage pregnancy and the belief that most women need only to live as house wives. Also the lack of finance which does not allow girls to go to school. It is on this note that DAVS have established this PROJECT in tie and dye batik clothing to assist the young women to have a skill/ trade and to be self empowered so as to reduce the level of poverty and therefore enhance their livelihood. This project assist women/girls to learn a skill/trade in fashion, beads making, batiks tie & dye,to assist them find market for their finished product.

Computer Training Programs Are you ready to help an african child on computers? To introduce the internet to the rural people? Do you have the necessary skills to teach as an instructor to train the youth as to how to build a pc? It is a great opportunity! The program is to widen access to basic computers for educational purposes for developing countries, where often there is no access to computer technology. The program aims to increase basic skills and encourage computer education.DAVS is currently supporting a computer training centre in Ho,volta region of Ghana which belongs to the EPP Church. We believe that the spread of information technology is a key to a country's future economic independence and prosperity. We need volunteers who have knolwledge in computers.
