Each volunteer is free to sample any of the following program activities depending on each volunteer’s skills and flexibility.

HIV/AIDS Prevention & Counseling Program,
Primary Health Care Program
Manual Construction work at Katebo Children’s Village
Restore a building(painting)
Build a house for orphaned Children
Build a footbridge
Build a children’s playground
Assist with holidays and camps for young people
Carry out renovation work at a school
Help educate people about farming
Teach in a school Organize arts activities for children
Work at a local hospital
Work in a remote village educating people about health i.e AIDS
Work with a project helping children from the streets
Work with a local Church
Work with a local women's development project.
You can become involved in a range of programs that appeal to your personal interests as some of the projects run in the morning and the afternoons only. If you are unsure of which project you would like to become involved with, you can spend a few days visiting each of the different groups to find out more about what each does.

The African Child Foundation is a very flexible and organic organization and looks to constantly develop and extend its range of activities reflecting the skills of the incoming volunteers. If you have suggestions or ideas as to how to increase the scope of the organization’s activities feel free to share them. The volunteer program will give you a chance to make an important contribution to Uganda and while doing so gain an in depth experience of the country and its culture that will stay with you the rest of your life.
