Stitch Uganda Together

Uganda has been ravaged by civil war and AIDS for 20 years. Peace talks recently brought calm, and many relief organizations are doing great work, however, numerous children are orphaned and homeless. The situation is grim and this humanitarian crisis still needs attention.

This group is a space to gather people, ideas, information and support to organize projects in Uganda. If you live in Uganda, have been on a mission there, are planning to go, or simply want to stay informed and help anyway you can, this is for you.

The Action Hero Network is currently making hammocks and selling them to buy sewing machines for Ugandans who have tailoring skills, but are without employment. This project will create community sewing rooms and lots of hammocks for people who can afford them and people who can't.
