We are Platanitos sea turtle camp. We are situated on Playa las tortugas and for 13 years now we have been dedicated to helping the endangered sea turtle. We really are making a difference and can use all the help we can get!
In 1995 we released only 48,025 baby turtles into the ocean. 11 years later, due to the hard work from many volunteers and our permanent staff we released 130,505!
We can provide lodgings by the beach, for a minimum 2 week commitment where you work 6-8 hours a day. We ask for a small donation of $45 pesos a day (aqpprox $4.50 US) as this is our only source of funding. You can come as soon as you want and stay for as long you like.
