some of that creative energy down to Baños, Ecuador where you can join a
growing organization of people who are making a difference in a small community in
the Andean mountains!

Fundacion Arte del Mundo, a non profit Arts and Literacy group is creating an Interactive Bi-Lingual Children’s Library, and you can help:

FUNDACION ARTE DEL MUNDO seeks two types of VOLUNTEERS:

GROUP 1: We are always looking talented Spanish-speaking ARTISTS and
inspiring ARTS EDUCATORS AND WORKSHOP LEADERS, who are interested in sharing their skills with our staff and willing to be hands-on collaborators on projects aimed at children, youth and teachers. If you're experienced and self motivated -- someone who is brimming with ideas; someone who can work independently and can carry through a project from start to finish -- then we can offer you: tons of support, lots of inspired kids, Artists live-in Studios and volunteer rooms at a very inexpensive cost for the duration of your stay!

GROUP 2: For those who aren't artists, we also have need of several with
or without experience willing to work as volunteer English teachers. In
addition we have a need for 1-2 volunteer librarians in our Interactive Bi-Lingual Children’s Library. For these positions we also offer training, lots of support, Artists live-in Studios and volunteer rooms available at a very inexpensive cost.

REQUIREMENTS
You must have sufficient Spanish language skills for the work you wish
to do. Teachers, trainers, storytellers, directors, for example, will
need good language skills, while English teachers, librarians, dancers,
videographers may be able to get by with much less.

We prefer volunteers with a minimum age of 23. Other than that, age does
not matter. For Group 1 volunteers, the more experience the better. And
don't worry, you can't be overqualified! :-)

YOUR COMMITMENT
Group 1 volunteers: we prefer of minimum commitment of at least 3
months. But talk to us if that is not possible.

Group 2 volunteers: we prefer a 1 month minimum commitment.
