Hello everybody,

I am collecting a list of the top 20 party hostels in the world and am querying for opinions. I have about 20 already but I am looking to see what hostels people feel should make the list and find some hostels I might have missed, which given the number of hostels out there, is probably quite a few.

I am especially interested in hostels in New Zealand, the South Pacific, or South America.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Matt

You didn't mention Europe, but just in case you include some, these are all party hostels:

Rising Cock Hostel: Lagos, Portugal
Balmer's Herberge: Interlaken, Switzerland
The Flying Pig Downtown: Amsterdam, Holland
The Pink Palace: Corfu, Greece

Good luck

Jon

I don't know if it qualifies as a 'party hostel' in the out-of-control sense of some of the really famous ones, but I had a fantastic time at the Pepi Patch hostel in Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, a couple years back. The hostel bar was the place to be in town and there were drinking contests most nights. (I won... two nights in a row!)

Gotta figure Kabul in Barcelona will make the list...

I have a ton of European hostels so I was hoping to branch out more. I have my list finished.

Kabul, of course, made the cut! :)

The Pink Palace in Corfu, Greece is a must!! It has been infamous for years upon years and people always wind up staying longer than expected...including myself and travel companions a few summers back. They give you a free nights stay after 3 or four nights (etc.etc.)

Also in Panama..specifically Bocas Del Toro a hostel called Mondo Taitu is one of the best places I have ever stayed.

The staff is international, friendly, crazy partiers and just a good time to be had. There are theme parties every night it seems like and is notorious for good vibes and good times!!

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Oona

Ah, Kabul. It is the stuff of legends.
