I can't seem to get a map to show up at the top of my blog. Why is that? It advertises this as a feature, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Hi Evan,

We have taken the Google map feature off temporarily for performance purposes until we relaunch the site this week with the rest of the Matador Network. The map will be restored on blogs next week. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your patience.

Hey Evan -

I think the google earth function was slowing down the overall site too much, so that although Matador was cool on a fast connection, it killed the experience in places like, say, internet cafes in Cambodia.

Hopefully Google Earth will be a major part of Matador when the new site is out of Beta, but for now the maps aren't very useful. I agree - smooth, functional creative integration of Google Earth and Matador would be awesomely cool.
