I'm not looking for a roommate and don't know anyone looking for one but I can tell you to be prepared - SF is one of the most expensive places to rent. Otherwise check Craigslist. And do you want to live in the city specifically, or do you mind living out in the 'burbs? Walnut Creek (kind of a longs ways from the city but accessible by BART) is pretty reasonable, from what I've heard.
