I step out into the midnight air.  A stifling, unrelenting wet heat presses into me, envelopes me.  Immediately water beads appear on my skin and my glasses become opaque with steam.  I rip them off my face so I won't tumble down the stairs onto the tarmac.  My plane has just arrived...
