Volunteer orportunities in Tanzania with SYDP, East Africa
|
SYDP is recruiting International volunteers to work in Tanzania. The project include working with in and out of school young people between 10–28 years. Africa out-of-school youth live under the most challenging conditions and are marginalized from mainstream services and society. Street children, adolescent sex workers, orphans, and other such groups are generally, but not always, out of school. Out-of-school youth have many of the same needs as other youth, including the need for food and shelter, a sense of connection or belonging, skills in problem-solving and life planning, job or vocational training, access to appropriate services, empowerment to take responsibility for their own lives, and information on sexual health issues, including contraception and HIV prevention. As a volunteer you will be working with this group together with visiting orphananage centre for two weeks time with a group of 10-15 people. Any one who would like to extend their stay should specify in advance. |
