DUSANGIR’IBYISHIMO: SHARING OUR JOY

This is an idea or initiative of NOPA-charity created by youthful genocide survivors with pet objectives of reinforcing the culture of peace, unity and tolerance.
This event got a start in order to help children especially orphans to rejoice, laugh and help them celebrate happily Christmas and year ending holidays. The event was launched at its first time in 2004.

SHARING OUR JOY 2006 took place in Gatsibo District, Eastern Province where NOPA-charity, its friends and donors rejoiced and celebrated Christmas with Seven young men with a special restriction of passing over a whole week in a pit where they were thrown with thousands of other souls that perished in the same pit during genocide ˝Their survival remains a miracle”

Due to the importance and the positive impact already revealed by this event, this year we decided to take the direction in Southern province, Muhanga district, Nyamabuye sector in KAGITARAMA home cell.
This home cell is lived in by 100 young genocide survivors from different parts of Rwanda where these young people take care of their small ones.

KAGITARAMA home cell is made of 34 families, among them 15 families are headed by young girls while the rest are headed by young boys with some headed by young school boys studying in high schools that have to close their homes during school days to be reopened on holidays when they are back. Imagine how they found their house!

…Many feel their survival is its own form of torture but together we can change their sorrow in joy and help them to rejoice, so let’s join them and celebrate together the joy of Christmas on 23rd December 2007 at their home cell.

DUSANGIR’IBIBYISHIMO: SHARING OUR JOY 2007
The theme for this year is:
HELP ME BEING HAPPY IT REBUILDS MY CONFIDENCE
This event takes place once a year during Christmas and year ending times, in chosen place due to its specialty.
Each and every time, we clarify and emphasize the target people, what we want to do for them and it does not end on that particular day as we become friends since and ever with those we visit.
This initiative “SHARING OUR JOY” is another way to heighten our host awareness of preventing AIDS in order to build a better and hopeful future.
When SHARING OUR JOY 2007 is due to take place?

We will celebrate the joy of Christmas with these young genocide survivors of KAGITARAMA on 23rd December 2007 at their place. It’s an opportunity to rebuild the broken hearts, build confidence hoping that together we could change a bunch and be useful to many.
Parents, friends, well wishers and donors are invited to join us and support our initiative in any way they could. Whatever your capability and ability you can do something to help these young to laugh celebrating the joys of Christmas. Think as they are your children or brothers, love them may be your work will heal the broken heartred.
Help us to cherish the minds and build up the peaceful and promising generations united as never seen.
