Talk and work for peace DUSANGIR’IBYISHIMO: SHARING OUR JOY This is an idea or initiative of NOPA-charity created by youthful genocide survivors with pet objectives of reinforcing the culture of peace, unity and tolerance. SHARING OUR JOY 2006 took place in Gatsibo District, Eastern Province where NOPA-charity, its friends and donors rejoiced and celebrated Christmas with Seven young men with a special restriction of passing over a whole week in a pit where they were thrown with thousands of other souls that perished in the same pit during genocide ˝Their survival remains a miracle” Due to the importance and the positive impact already revealed by this event, this year we decided to take the direction in Southern province, Muhanga district, Nyamabuye sector in KAGITARAMA home cell. KAGITARAMA home cell is made of 34 families, among them 15 families are headed by young girls while the rest are headed by young boys with some headed by young school boys studying in high schools that have to close their homes during school days to be reopened on holidays when they are back. Imagine how they found their house! …Many feel their survival is its own form of torture but together we can change their sorrow in joy and help them to rejoice, so let’s join them and celebrate together the joy of Christmas on 23rd December 2007 at their home cell. DUSANGIR’IBIBYISHIMO: SHARING OUR JOY 2007 We will celebrate the joy of Christmas with these young genocide survivors of KAGITARAMA on 23rd December 2007 at their place. It’s an opportunity to rebuild the broken hearts, build confidence hoping that together we could change a bunch and be useful to many.
