Description:
In collaboration wth Greenpeace International JVE launched the Solar Generation in Togo under its climate change program. In order to combat climate change the Solar Generation Program promotes the use of clean, solar energy.
This program is in the need of a Program Assistant. Under the Executive Director, he/she will be responsible for technically assisting the smooth running of SG Togo. His/her activities will be: communication with Greenpeace International, fundraise, organize activities, help the group lobby university authorities, promote renewable energy on the campus, link SG with other green initiatives on other campuses, manage events and reprot to JVE and Greenpeace International
How to Apply:
This opportunity is open now, awaiting to be filled in. Working hours are 08h-12h and 14h30 to 17h30.
Volunteers must be at least 20 and in the beginning of their career.
He/she will be located in Lomé with a host family which allows to get acquainted with local culture. A 150 euro/month will be demanded which will cover the room, breakfast and diner.
The location is not far from the office, it is possible to walk but taxi at own expense can be taken as well.
There are lot's of cheap but very good lunch opportunities near the office. It can be said that Togo has a rich and varied gastronomy, a pleasure to discover.
Volunteers are in charge of their travel expenses to Lomé but will be picked up at the airport.
