International Coordinator

El Nahual will have an opening for International Coordinator starting in September. Take part in our small community and our mission to educate for social change. We seek an innovative, motivated individual with the passion to improve our organization and the lives of the people we work with.

Volunteer job opening:
International Coordinator

Requirements:
- fluent English
- high intermediate / advanced level of spoken Spanish
- minimum 3-4 month commitment
- passion for social service work and the mission of our school
- excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- ability to multi-task and the energy, creativity and enthusiasm to work with limited resources

Responsibilities:
- Help directors manage Spanish school and educational programs
- Communicate with potential students and volunteers via phone or email, providing information about Spanish school and programs
- Make international contacts with universities, social service organizations, etc. to recruit students and volunteers who are interested in studying and volunteering
- Facilitate local and international fundraising efforts
- Participate in school and volunteer activities
- Provide ongoing support to students and volunteers, as well as local children and families
- Update website information
- Some translation of conferences and announcements for students who do not speak Spanish
- Aid the Volunteer and Program Coordinator in maintaining and expanding existing educational social service projects, including Manos de Colores program at 4 locations
- Approximately 40 hours/week, depending on activities and number of volunteers
