We are currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals to work as volunteer teachers in the Mtwara region of southern Tanzania. We are recruiting English language teachers (TEFL/TESL certificate required before placement begins) to teach at primary and secondary level, as well as Maths and Science teachers to teach at secondary level. Placements are for six months with the option to extend.

You will be working as part of a team of other volunteers and will also work closely with the Tanzanian teachers within the provided school syllabi.

EdUKaid will provide you with food and accommodation in our newly furnished property next to the Indian Ocean in Mikindani, as well as covering any expenses directly incurred during your work with the organisation.

Mikindani is stunning; a really beautiful, friendly and peaceful village. The work will, at times, be demanding but it is the challenges you will face that will make your work in Africa most rewarding.
