VOLGA SUMMER CAMP (Available in June-August )
Most of the communities in Ghana do not have basic physical infrastructures like toilets, proper classrooms, playgrounds, libraries, or even drinking water. Therefore, the community members are facing many problems and often find it difficult to enjoy these basic amenities that the city dwellers enjoy at their tax paying expense. DIVOG has been working very hard with our local partners to provide interested communities with volunteers who are ready to help construct basic infrastructures and other desperately needed improvements.

In this program interested individuals, students, tourists, professionals, organizations, and other groups can give support by contributing funds and materials or by getting themselves involved in construction program.
Note: Volunteers do not need to have any skills or knowledge about construction, as they will mainly be doing unskilled work such as digging, mixing sand and cement, carrying rocks, sand and bricks, fetching water, and painting the school buildings. They will be led and work together with local skilled people who will be providing free labour for the improvement of their communities.

Who volunteers?
Anyone between 16-65 years regardless his/her nationality and back ground. The common characteristic is their willingness to help. Who will I be helping?
You will be helping our partner organizations and the communities with which they work. Your assistance will benefit local environmental and community advocates who have spent their lives promoting a specific cause. And most importantly, the people, wildlife, and the environmental causes aided by our projects will positively benefit from your work.

Why should I pay to volunteer?
We do not receive any financial support or funding of any kind so volunteers have to fund their projects themselves. The money you pay allows us to provide you with all supports and services. We have built our reputation on this and we believe that this is what makes our projects work for volunteers. You will be working in places where you are genuinely needed and also our partners are non-profits organizations doing meaningful, much-needed work in their local communities in Ghana, in addition, a specific amount of your volunteer fees are used as a donation to these organizations to keep the projects running.

What do they use the donation for?
The donation is used for basic facility needs, such as electricity and plumbing. Some of it is also used to buy much-needed school and medical supplies or building materials. The staffs on our project are also supported by this donation.

What about the rest of my fees?
The rest of the fee also covers: Airport Pick Up, Transportation to placement, Orientation, 24/7 in Country Support, Food, Accommodation and our services, see the About Our Service page.
