Salisbury England

A stunning, hour and a half train ride through the English countryside take you to Salisbury, home of the famous Stonehenge.
It’s an easy day trip but I found that Salisbury has a lot more to
offer and, in fact, Stonehenge is the least impressive part of the town.

Salisbury has been...

Nomadic Matt's NEW LOOK!!!

Hey fellow Matadorians!

As some of you know, besides writing articles for the Matador Network, I also run my own travel site. A week ago, I upgraded my site. It's much cleaner, better optimized, and overall like 500% better than my old site was. I love just looking at it (I wrote most of the html code...

Solo Travel

I get a lot of questions when I tell people I travel alone.

“Don’t you get lonely?” “Is it safe?” “How do you meet people?”

People are amazed that I’ve traveled so much by myself. “I couldn’t
do, especially for so long.” They say. Yet I wouldn’t do it any other
way. Traveling...

Getting ready to travel again! YAY!

In a month from now, I'll be leaving the states again. It's amazing how
fast my time here has gone. When I came home in January, June seemed so
far away that I felt it would never come. Now, I can't believe how much
I have to do before I leave.

This move is a lot more permanent
than my last...

Touch Down in England

I am here in merry ole England, a big jet lagged and relieved. I almost
didn't make it to my friends house. The cost of the train ticket online
had jumped to 140 pounds (300 dollars). That was a little bit more than
I could afford but with some last minute Skyping and luck, I got a
return...

Strange Things I Learned in OZ....

Men there like mullets. Mullets of all types. No one else likes them
but Aussie men and all classes of Aussie men. I can't figure out why
but for some reason, Aussie men love the mullet, which is fine, because
I like laughing at them so it is a win win situation.

The
